Choosing Safe Cosmetic Treatments

Many cosmetic treatments, including anti-wrinkle injections and dermal fillers, do not require surgery. However, non-surgical does not mean risk-free. For this reason, it is essential to choose a reputable, properly qualified practitioner who places your safety and wellbeing first.

At Venustas Clinic, all treatments are carried out with the highest standards of clinical care, professionalism, and patient safety. Our aim is to help you achieve natural-looking results while ensuring you feel fully informed and confident throughout your treatment journey.

Non-surgical cosmetic procedures use carefully selected products and advanced techniques to soften lines and wrinkles, improve skin quality, restore volume, and enhance your natural features. Cosmetic treatments may also include procedures designed to improve the appearance of teeth, such as whitening and alignment treatments.

If you are considering a cosmetic procedure, we recommend booking a complimentary, no-obligation consultation. This gives you the opportunity to discuss your goals, understand the treatment process, learn about any potential risks, and receive clear information about costs and expected results.

You should always ask about the qualifications, training, and experience of the practitioner who will be carrying out your treatment. We also encourage patients to check the Treatments You Can Trust (TYCT) register, which is supported by the Department of Health, to ensure that any provider they choose meets recognised professional standards.

Whether you decide to visit Venustas Clinic or another provider, taking the time to verify credentials and experience is one of the most important steps you can take towards a safe and successful treatment outcome.

There are various procedures available, including:

·         Muscle paralysis, such as injections of botulinum toxin (Botox) to relax facial muscles and make lines and wrinkles less obvious

Where can I get a non-surgical procedure done safely?

Procedures such as teeth whitening can be safely carried out by Venustas Clinic. You can find more information about our teeth whitening by clicking here.

Our cosmetic injectable treatments (such as Botox) are only carried out by an appropriately trained registered nurse in a clinical environment. They shouldn’t be carried out by beauty therapists who lack the necessary clinical background.

How can I find out whether the provider is safe?

Providers of cosmetic treatments that do not involve surgery don’t have to be registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC). The CQC is the independent regulator for health services in England.

The CQC advises that you can be at risk of harm from procedures if they’re not carried out correctly. It’s important to research the procedure, the provider and the person who will be carrying it out.
